About Gordon's Building Services

We began trading in 1990 as "Gordon's Decorating" after attaining all the relevant skills and qualifications in terms of painting, decorating and general do it yourself jobs which followed through from the decorating contracts it was decided we needed to establish ourselves as something more than just a decorating company and after 3-4 years we decided it would serve our interest best in order to expand to attain training in various trades within the construction industry which we did after taking on more staff the course was set for the next 5 years with 2 primary objectives.

1. Within the company to have tradesmen skilled in, painting and decorating, electrical installation, plumbing and gas installations and building construction (roofing, extensions, windows etc) in the main all the jobs we do unless specialized work was required where we would use sub-contractors.
2. To offer our customers good service and deal promptly with any customer concerns which in-turn would guarantee our survival and future and also recommendations to new customers.

After achieving some of the above goals in 1996 our name changed to 'Gordon's Decorating and Plumbing Services' as the business grew so did our database of customers at times it was difficult keeping pace with it all. However like most things you stick at it and you learn how to do it better. The status quo remained for another two years however, we found we were becoming increasingly involved with general building work extensions, garage to bedroom conversions etc. The later half of 1999 we now had the type of tradesmen we wanted the experience and resources to offer a complete service to our customers and since then have been trading as "Gordon's Building Services"
